Opportunity:
RN – Observation Unit
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day and night variable shifts
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13 weeks
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
• Work in 8-bed observation unit with 1:4 patient ratio
• Care for patients with anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre and post-op urology and GI procedures
• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, insulin, and heparin
• Handle high volume of admissions and discharges with average patient stays up to 48 hours
• Subject to low census and on-call requirements with 2-hour minimum call back
• Must have 3 years minimum experience and 1 travel assignment required
• Wisconsin RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips required
• Background in observation units or MS/Tele units preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility
