Opportunity:
RN – PCU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week for 13-week contract
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 on 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back pay
• Must have Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Must be able to pass EKG test within first week of hire
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) required
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablation patients
• Handle acute chest pain/MI cases and medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations, respiratory failure
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must demonstrate ability to work independently and complete tasks in timely manner
