Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Must work every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Can be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum call back pay
• Provide care in 40-bed post-surgical care unit for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients
• Handle 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% unit occupancy during weekdays
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 during day/evening shifts and 1:5-7 during night shifts
• Average patient length of stay is 2-3 days with fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and prioritization
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS
• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience with recent hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II experience and prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Work with Epic EMR, medication scanning rovers, and Alaris pumps
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Mask required at all times during flu season if vaccination is declined
