Opportunity:

Paramedic – Paramedic

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 11:00 PM to 11:00 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule
• Guaranteed 96 hours biweekly (48 hours per week average)
• Every other weekend requirement as needed with scheduled rotation
• Holiday coverage as needed and available
• May be placed on call for low census hours with 2-hour minimum call back pay
• Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius from facility
• May need to float to other locations in north region based on staffing levels
• Required certifications: Wisconsin EMT Paramedic Certification, Active Wisconsin Driver's License in good standing, PALS, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS
• Preferred: Wisconsin CCP (Critical Care Paramedic) Endorsement, Michigan Paramedic Certification
• Minimum one year paramedic experience required, three years preferred
• Education: High School graduate and successful completion of EMS paramedic program
• Training provided on Zoll EMS Charts platform
• Work in various crew configurations including EMT/Medic, Medic/Medic, RN/EMT, RN/Medic
• Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients
• Conduct ongoing patient assessment and required documentation
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patient charts
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment
• Initiate and implement interventions based on protocols
• Assist with treatments and tests ordered by providers under supervision
