Opportunity:
RN – MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Unit may low census in 4-hour increments; traveler may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift as needed
• Work in a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings, 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10 to 15 admissions per day with occupancy of 90 to 95% during the week and average length of stay of 2 to 3 days
• Must have strong ability to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work effectively as part of a team
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

This facility is a full-service inpatient hospital offering a wide range of surgical and medical services across multiple inpatient units. The Post Surgical Care Unit is a busy 40-bed area focused on delivering comprehensive care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. The facility maintains high occupancy levels and operates at a fast pace, offering travelers a dynamic and rewarding clinical environment.
