Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg/Observation
Job Details:
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours – can be low censused in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour increments
• 8-bed observation unit with patient ratio of 1:4
• Care for patients with conditions including anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre and post-op urology and GI cases, with average patient stay up to 48 hours
• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin
• High volume of admissions and discharges
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips required – EKG exam required during compliance
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC); NIHSS highly preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience required with at least 1 prior travel assignment required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Background in observation units or MS/Tele units preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Scrub colors: any color
