Opportunity:
RN – MedSurg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour variable shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:4-5 on Days/Evenings and 1:6-7 on Evenings/Nights
• Occasional need to float to other departments to assist with tasks such as vital checks without taking on a patient load
• May float to other locations including Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade
• Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours with a maximum of 36 unbillable low census hours per contract
• Call back minimum is 2 hours
• Work in a 20-bed unit with a typical census of 8-10 patients in a 25-bed critical access hospital
• ICU and MedSurg are a shared unit with 3 ICU beds
• ED or ICU experience very helpful; must be able to read telemetry strips
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN license, AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any clean and work-appropriate scrubs acceptable
