Opportunity:
CNA – LTC
Job Details:
• 12-hour variable shifts covering both days and nights
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Contract length of 8 weeks
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, with potential to float to Stevens Point, Plover, and Divine Savior locations
• May be placed on low census call; call back minimum is 2 hours
• Patient ratio of 1:10 to 1:15 on Medical-Surgical unit
• Treat adult patients with conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Perform assistance with ADLs, full set vitals, POC blood glucose, Foley care, bladder scans, removal of PIVs, emptying ostomy pouches, 1:1 sitter care, operation of lift equipment, postmortem care, occupied bed changes, and behavioral health/withdrawal patient care
• Apply gait belts, attach telemetry leads, assist with ambulation, and manage strict intake and output for drains
• Don and doff PPE as required
• Must be able to work independently, complete tasks in a timely manner, and collaborate with team and ancillary staff
• Positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes throughout a shift required
• At least 1 year of short-term acute care inpatient experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI CNA license, AHA or ARC BLS
• Required education: High school diploma, GED, or official transcripts
