Job Details:
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Provide care for patients of all ages
• RN patient ratio of 1:4 for both day and night shifts
• Critical care level skill set required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC/TNS, CPI or MOAB
• Charting system: EPIC EMR
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
• GE Monitors used on unit
• Weekend rotation of 1 weekend per month required
• No call requirements
• No holiday expectations
• Scrub color: Any solid color, professional – no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available
• Orientation includes at least 1 shift to learn unit flow
• Support staff includes charge nurse with reduced patient assignment, hospitalist in house 24/7, ED MD in house 24/7, HUC 24/7, and phlebotomy assistance for peripheral blood draws
Facility:
This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, as well as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The emergency department operates with 21 beds plus a 6-bed annex, supported by an active forensic nurse examiner program with RN on-call 24/7. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services with robust around-the-clock support including in-house hospitalists, emergency medicine physicians, and nursing station telemetry monitoring.
