Opportunity:
RN – Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse
Job Details:
• Work in a Level III NICU with 18 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:1-3 for both day and night shifts
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Care for patient types including micropreemies, infections, respiratory distress, NAS, and Level III cases – no major surgeries
• Required skills include oxygen therapy, nitric oxide, CPAP, chest tube management, care of micropreemies, and experience with intubated and vented neonates
• Delivery experience required
• Transport experience preferred
• 1-2 years of NICU experience required with Level III NICU experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP; STABLE preferred
• Charting and equipment systems used: EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis
• Bedside and nurses station telemetry monitoring with no tele tech
• Support staff includes CNA (1:18 ratio), phlebotomy for lab draws, charge nurse who takes assignments, and Neonatologist and NP in house 24/7
• May float to PEDS unit to care for NICU babies
• Scrub color: Any color

This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility featuring a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level III Maternity unit, and Primary Stroke Center. With 167 total beds and an 18-bed NICU, the facility provides specialized neonatal care supported by Neonatologists and Nurse Practitioners available in house around the clock. The organization is equipped with modern charting and medical equipment systems to support high-quality patient care across multiple specialty departments.
