Opportunity:
RN – OR
Job Details:
• Day shifts consisting of 8-hour shifts with start times between 5:45 AM and 9:00 AM and end times between 1:45 PM and 5:00 PM
• Call responsibilities included, covering weekdays, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis among trained RNs
• Must be ready to make incision within 30 minutes or less for STAT cases
• RNs cover Pre-surgery/PATT, OR, and PACU
• Facility operates 4 OR suites with 3 running concurrently
• Average of 9 cases per day
• Common cases include General, Ortho, OB/GYN, Urology, Podiatry, and Cardiology (pacemakers, lead revisions, etc.)
• Must have experience with all listed specialties as well as Pre-surgery and PACU
• Scrubbing is not required for RNs
• EMR system used is Paragon
• Schedule is built by the manager
• One week of orientation provided
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
Facility:
This acute care facility provides a comprehensive surgical services department operating multiple OR suites and offering a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, podiatry, and cardiology procedures. The facility supports a well-rounded perioperative environment where nursing staff are cross-trained to cover Pre-surgery/PATT, the operating room, and PACU, ensuring continuity of care throughout the surgical patient experience.
