Opportunity:
RN – Stepdown
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• Contract length of 10 weeks
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Holiday rotation required
• Low census eligible in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour increments
• Work in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with fast-paced, high patient turnover
• Care for patients including post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4
• Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Must have 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) and 2 years IMC/PCU/Tele experience required
• Candidates must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Required education: Associate Degree or Certificate
• Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree
• Scrub color: Any color
