Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour day shifts with shift times of 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, or 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• On-call possibility may be requested in advance but would rarely occur
• Work in a Trauma Level II, 18-bed emergency department unit
• Fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and managing a diverse patient population including cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
• Utilize Epic for computer charting and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level I or II experience required for those without prior travel experience
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Epic charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
Facility:
This facility is a Trauma Level II hospital featuring an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and equipped to handle a wide range of complex cases including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory conditions. The emergency department maintains on-site radiology staff, in-house laboratory services, and respiratory therapy support to ensure comprehensive patient care. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality, fast-paced emergency medical services to the community.
