Opportunity:
RN – ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts, either day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation every third weekend with potential to be pulled off weekends to support weekday staffing needs
• Every other holiday expected
• No on-call responsibilities
• Up to 2 shifts of time off can be approved within contract, with manager approval required for additional shifts
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted for day shift; night shift prefers travel experience but will consider candidates with several years of experience
• Care for general ICU, stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical, and CRRT patients
• No ECMO patients
• Patient ratios of 1:2, up to 1:3 for stepdown-level patients
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience required with art lines, cardiac and other critical drips, ventilators, BiPAPs, trachs, and codes
• Charting system: Epic EMR
• IV pumps: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• May float to a holding area with ICU patients or potentially to Kenosha if not needed; will only float to ICU-level care
• 2 12-hour shifts of unit orientation provided following NEO
• Scrub color: Navy blue

Facility:
This facility is a 60-bed Level 3 Trauma Center with a 12-bed ICU unit. The unit is well-supported with CNAs, a charge nurse with a reduced patient assignment, phlebotomy services, an IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, and a hospitalist available 24/7. An intensivist is on-site from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM seven days a week, with EICU coverage available 24/7. Additional support includes occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy services.
