Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• Work in a 17-exam room emergency department with a 4-bed observation unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Treat a variety of patient types including post-surgical, CVA, sepsis, pneumonia, trauma, MI, pediatrics, and obstetric emergencies
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
• Required skills include airway management and RSI knowledge, cardiac drips, codes, CVA and STEMI management
• Charting system: Epic EMR
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• Support staff includes 2 ED techs from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, LPN from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, charge nurse, respiratory therapy, hospitalist available 24/7, and OT/PT/ST services
• VAT team available during the day with ultrasound-guided IV trained RNs in the unit
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend
• Holiday expectations: every other holiday
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Orientation consists of NEO plus 2 12-hour shifts on the unit
• Minimum 18 months of experience required
• No first-time travelers
• Scrub color: Navy blue

This is a 60-bed Level 4 Trauma and stroke-ready facility providing comprehensive emergency services to the community. The emergency department is equipped with modern technology including Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems. The facility offers robust support services including respiratory therapy, 24/7 hospitalist coverage, and dedicated OT, PT, and ST services to ensure high-quality patient care.
