Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• Work in a 17 exam room emergency department with a 4 bed observation unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Every other holiday expected
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 18 months of experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible
• Care for a diverse patient population including post-surgical, CVA, Sepsis, Pneumonia, Trauma, MI, Pediatrics, and Obstetric emergencies
• Required skills include airway management and RSI knowledge, cardiac drips, codes, CVA and STEMI management
• Support staff includes 2 ED techs from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, LPN from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, charge nurse, respiratory therapy, hospitalist available 24/7, and OT, PT, and ST services
• Phlebotomy services available on unit
• VAT team available during the day with ultrasound guided IV trained RNs in unit
• Charting system: Epic EMR
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
• No floating required
• Orientation includes NEO and 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
• Scrub color: Navy blue

This 60 bed emergency facility operates as a Level 4 Trauma and stroke ready facility, providing comprehensive emergency medical services to the surrounding community. The facility is equipped with modern technology and a well-supported care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes across a wide range of emergency medical conditions. The organization maintains robust staffing support and advanced resources to handle diverse and high-acuity patient needs.
