Opportunity:
Paramedic – Paramedic
Job Details:
• Work in the Emergency Department treating patient types ranging from neonates to geriatrics, including Level III trauma cases
• Day shift patient ratio: 1:3-4
• Night shift patient ratio: 1:5
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• When not on a call, paramedics will work in the ED
• 2 years of experience required
• General ED skills required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, WI License (MI License is not needed but must be in application process)
• De-escalation certification is NOT required
• Charting system and equipment: EPIC, Alaris IV Pump, Pyxis
• Scrubs: Any color
• Support staff on unit includes CNA, charge nurse, phlebotomy/RN for blood draws, resource nurse, RT 24/7, and hospitalist 24/7
• Bedside and nurse station telemonitoring available
• No floating required
• Orientation includes at least one shift on the unit

This is a 99-bed Level III Trauma Center operating a 17-bed Emergency Department with a close-knit team in a rural setting. The facility operates its own ambulance service and provides comprehensive support services including respiratory therapy and hospitalist coverage available 24/7.
