Opportunity:
RN – MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Work in a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings, 1:5-7 on nights
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with highest volume occurring on day/evening shifts
• Unit occupancy runs 90-95% during the week with an average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multi-task and prioritize patient care needs based on acuity and work as a team
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required – hard stop
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Aspirus Wausau
