Opportunity:
RN – MedSurg
Job Details:
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime paid after 48 hours worked in one week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours that can be taken in hour increments; unit typically low censuses in 4-hour increments and may ask traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• Work in a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing pre and post-surgical care for adults and geriatric patients following PACU recovery
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on day/PM shifts and 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care needs based on acuity, and work as part of a team
• Required equipment: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required – hard stop
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
