Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with a guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour variable PM/Night shifts: PM shift options are 9:00 AM–9:00 PM, 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, and 11:00 AM–11:00 PM; Night shift is 5:00 PM–5:00 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Possibility for on-call shifts, asked in advance but rarely occurs
• No float requirements
• Trauma Level II experience required; 2 years of Trauma Level I or II experience required if no prior travel experience
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Work in an 18-bed, fast-paced emergency department with 3–4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and working with Pyxis medication dispensers
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on-site
• Unit serves stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patient populations
• EPIC charting experience required; EKG exam required during compliance
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any scrub color permitted

This facility is a Trauma Level II designated hospital featuring a busy 18-bed emergency department that provides comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties including stroke, cardiac, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory services. The emergency department is stroke certified and supports an in-house lab, on-site X-ray staff, and respiratory therapy, offering a well-resourced environment for emergency care professionals. The unit is known for its fast-paced atmosphere and emphasis on independent, efficient patient management.
