Opportunity:
RN – ICU
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation required with every other holiday
• Standby call required on an as-needed basis
• Float required as needed
• Will consider a 48-hour contract if willing to work more weekends
• Care for ICU and PCU patients on a blended unit with all acuity types
• Patient diagnoses include medical cardiac/respiratory, orthopedic (knees/hips), and general surgery
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Patient ratios: 5 during days, 6 during nights
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers must have more than 5 years of RN experience
• Charge experience preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to assignment start
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Occasional ventilator management required
• Barcode scanning compliance must be maintained at 95% or higher to be eligible for extension
• Bedside Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only), Wisconsin RN license
• Must have experience with cardiac telemetry, arterial line management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, and care of ventilated patients

This medical center is a community-based hospital serving the Beaver Dam area with a 23-bed inpatient unit. The facility operates a blended ICU/PCU unit caring for adult and geriatric patients across a range of acuity levels. Interdisciplinary support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and a unit secretary, ensuring comprehensive care for all patients.
