Opportunity:
RN – ICU
Job Details:
• Day shifts, 12 hours, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required with every other holiday
• Standby call required as needed
• Will consider a 48-hour contract if willing to work more weekends
• Care for ICU and PCU patients on a blended unit, managing all acuity types and patient ratios
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including cardiac/respiratory, orthopedic, and general surgery
• 23-bed unit with a daily census of 10
• Float required as needed
• 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU required; solid PCU foundation required for success in role
• Travel experience required; locals within 50 miles of the facility not accepted
• If first-time traveler, must have more than 5 years of RN experience
• Charge experience preferred
• Telemetry exam required prior to assignment start with strict passing criteria
• Barcode scanning must be at 95% or higher to be eligible for extension
• Bedside Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding required
• Charting system: Cerner (required)
• Occasional use of ventilators required
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only), Wisconsin RN license
