Opportunity:
Medical Assistant – Medical Assistant
Job Details:
• Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• 40 hours per week for 26 weeks
• Obtain patient vital signs and report abnormal results to the Registered Nurse
• Accurately enter data into electronic healthcare records related to patient care and interventions
• Room patients for providers in a clinic setting and direct patient flow to ensure effective clinic operations
• Administer vaccines and other IM/SubQ medications
• Complete point of care sample collection including phlebotomy
• Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Prepare exam rooms and instruments for examinations and minor procedures
• Perform procedures such as cleansing superficial lacerations and wounds, dressing changes, ear lavages, electrocardiograms, peak flow testing, and other provider-ordered procedures
• Document all interventions in the electronic healthcare record
