Opportunity:
RN – ICU – Neuro
Job Details:
• Day and night shifts available, with 8 or 12 hour shift options
• Day shift hours: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; Night shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Will accept 4×12 scheduling
• Every other weekend required, with some holiday coverage
• Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care ICU experience required within the last 3 years
• Neurosurgery experience preferred
• Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient population
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Wisconsin RN license or compact license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required – AHA only
• Basic Arrhythmia experience required
• Telemetry test must be passed prior to start – passing score of 80% or higher with two attempts allowed
• Must have experience with ICP monitoring or ventricular drains
• Required skills include: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, hemodynamic monitoring, hypothermia protocol, ICP monitoring, lumbar drain management, post craniotomy and neurosurgery management, traumatic brain injury care, ventilator management, and titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Special equipment experience required: EVD, lumbar drains, and CereLink monitor
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted

The facility is widely recognized as one of the nation's leading hospitals, teaching institutions, and referral centers. The unit specializes in the care of critically ill adult patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses including stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical resections, and trauma, and is supported by a collaborative interdisciplinary care team of nationally certified physicians and specialized nursing staff.
