Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• Work in a 12-bed emergency department (including triage)
• Care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics, with a majority of adult patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5, with up to 1:6 on rare occasions based on acuity
• Perform general ED skills including chest tubes, drips, IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Use Epic charting system along with GE monitors, Alaris, and Pyxis equipment
• CNA support available at a 1:12 ratio
• Respiratory therapy and hospitalist services available in-house 24/7
• Bedside and nursing station telemetry available with no tele tech
• ED RNs perform phlebotomy at the bedside
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• Holiday schedule varies based on unit need
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Orientation consists of 1 shift on the unit to learn the flow
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, and de-escalation training (MOAB or CPI)
• Scrub color: Any

Facility:
This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 69 total beds, providing comprehensive emergency and specialty care to the surrounding community. The emergency department operates with strong support systems including in-house respiratory therapy and hospitalist coverage available 24/7, as well as a lead RN who functions as a resource for staff. The facility is equipped with modern technology and equipment to support high-quality patient care across a wide range of medical conditions and acuity levels.
