RN – ER
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable PM/Night shifts with the following shift times: PM shift 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM, and 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM; Night shift 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Possibility for on-call, though rarely requested and always asked in advance
• No float requirements
• Trauma Level II experience required; 2 years of Trauma Level I or II experience required if no prior travel experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• 18-bed unit serving trauma, stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory patients in a fast-paced environment
• 3-4 patients per nurse
• RNs are responsible for drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and working with Pyxis medication dispensers
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on-site in the ED
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• EKG exam required during compliance
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

This facility is a Trauma Level II designated hospital with a stroke-certified emergency department equipped to handle a wide range of complex medical cases including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory conditions. The 18-bed emergency department features in-house laboratory services, on-site X-ray staff, and respiratory therapy support, providing a comprehensive and fast-paced environment for emergency care professionals.
