Opportunity:
RN – OR
Job Details:
• Work in a 3-OR surgical center serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient populations
• Perform circulating duties requiring critical and independent decision-making
• Collaborate with team members and multi-task while recognizing situational changes that require unanticipated interventions
• Handle a variety of surgical specialties including General, GYN, ENT, Urology, Ortho, Podiatry, and Vascular
• Pediatric cases are seen with ENT approximately once per week, making up 5-10% of the caseload; pediatric experience preferred
• Float to two additional sites: Southern Lakes and Lakeland on a weekly scheduled rotation
• On-call requirements include every 6th weekend from Friday afternoon through Monday morning and one night per week with a 30-minute response time
• Holiday coverage required: one summer holiday and one winter holiday
• Orientation consists of 1-3 shifts based on comfort level
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must be proficient with EPIC (required), Pyxis, and Alaris
• Scrubs are procedural and provided
Facility:
This facility is a 123-bed surgical center operating three ORs and holds a Trauma Level III designation. It serves as a Primary Stroke Center and provides comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties. The facility offers strong unit support including a dedicated charge nurse, on-site surgeon and anesthesia coverage during cases, a surgery scheduler, and an OR aide who also serves as secretary.
