Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 52 hours worked
• 13-week contract assignment with bi-weekly orientation starting 11/3
• Weekend requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: Every other holiday rotation
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to other campuses (8-11 miles apart) with 2-hour notice
• Required certifications: Current active compact nursing license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must have 2+ years strong cardiac/telemetry experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Must pass telemetry tests for 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Patient population includes post cardiac procedures, A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, and behavioral health/detox
• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, heart cath recovery, PIV insertion, chest tube management, drip management, CBI, and central line care
• Patient ratios: Night shift 1:6-7 patients (Charge Nurse takes patient assignment)
• 34-bed cardiac renal unit requiring strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• May require precepting students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Three call-ins can result in contract termination
