Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment with bi-weekly orientation starting 12/1
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• First to float within skillset to sister campuses (Deaconess Midtown 8 miles away, Deaconess Henderson KY 11 miles away)
• 2-hour notice given for cross-campus floating
• Mid-shift floating within same campus possible
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Must wear navy blue scrubs with no competing health system or agency logos
• 34-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:6-7 on nights
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum two years of strong cardiac/tele experience required
• One travel assignment and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Must pass telemetry tests as requirement
• Care for post-cardiac procedure patients, A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes
• Skills include tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, heart cath recovery, PIV insertion, chest tube management, drip management
• Experience with CBI, detox/CIWA protocols, and central line care required
• Must demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Three call-ins can result in contract termination
