Opportunity:
RN – Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (48 hours available upon request)
• 13-week contract length with biweekly orientation starting December 1st or 15th
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to other campuses with 2-hour notice
• May float to Deaconess Newburgh (8 miles) and Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• Patient ratio: Night shift 1:5-7 patients
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of strong Cardiac/Tele experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class
• Must pass telemetry tests and demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Care for high acuity telemetry/medical-surgical patients with cardiac focus including AFib, heart cath patients, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and post-ablation patients
• Skills include tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, initiating/titrating drips, PIV insertion, chest tube management, and nephrostomy tube care
• Scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Associate degree or certificate required
