Opportunity:
RN – Neurology; Additional Notes from VMS= Neuro Surgical – Days – Deaconess Gateway **AUTO OFFER**
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Float requirement within skillset to other campus locations (8-11 miles apart) with 2-hour notice
• Work three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday requirement
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6 during day shifts
• Navy blue scrubs required (no competing health system or agency logos)
• Care for neuro and neuro-surgical patients including CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, post-op craniotomies, and cerebral angiograms
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years strong neuro experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class
• Skills include NIHSS/dysphagia screening, strong neuro assessments, basic telemetry interpretation, heparin drip management, blood administration, and NG tube care
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Strict attendance policy: 3 call-ins can result in termination
