Opportunity:
RN – Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Must float within skillset – primary location with potential float to other campuses up to 11 miles away
• 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float assignments
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4 on nights
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must pass tele tests and have recent EPIC charting experience
• Minimum 2 years RN experience, 1 full year stepdown experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Care for cardiac patients (post cath stents/interventions, pacers), CIWA/BH, sepsis, DKA, CVA patients with CPAP, feeding tubes, and other complex medical conditions
• Required skills include tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, initiate/titrate drips, post-surgical assessment/care, and NIHSS/neuro assessments
• May require precepting of students and new hires as this is a teaching hospital
• 3 call-ins can result in contract termination
