Opportunity:
Paramedic – Paramedic
Job Details:
• Work two 24-hour shifts per week with guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Overtime available after 48 hours worked
• Every other weekend requirement as needed
• Holiday coverage as needed and available
• May be required to float to other locations in north and central regions, including Crystal Falls
• Subject to low census and on-call status with 2-hour minimum call back
• Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients
• Conduct ongoing patient assessment and required documentation
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patient charts
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment
• Initiate and implement interventions based on established protocols
• Assist with treatments and tests ordered by providers under supervision
• Work in various crew configurations including EMT/Medic, Medic/Medic, RN/EMT, or RN/Medic
• Utilize Zoll EMS Charts platform for documentation with training provided
• Required certifications: Wisconsin EMT Paramedic Certification, PALS, Active WI Driver's License, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, MI Paramedic Certification
• Preferred: WI CCP (Critical Care Paramedic) Endorsement
• Minimum one year paramedic experience required, three years preferred
• High school graduate with successful completion of EMS paramedic program
• Must wear mask at all times if declining flu and COVID vaccination during flu season
