Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg Tele; Additional Notes from VMS= Neuro Cardiac Unit MS/Tele RN – Days – Deaconess Gateway **AUTO OFFER**
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
• Overtime applies after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to other campus locations with 2-hour notice
• May float to Deaconess Midtown (8 miles) and Deaconess Henderson (11 miles)
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• Patient ratio: Days 1:4-5 (rarely 1:6)
• 32-bed unit with complex Med/Surg/Tele patients
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years strong Tele/Med/Surg experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Must pass tele tests for EKG interpretation
• Required skills: NIHSS/dysphagia screening, strong neuro assessment, tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, initiate/titrate drips (insulin, cardiac, heparin), heart cath recovery
• Preferred skills: NG/PEG tubes, PIV insertion, Tikosyn administration, chest tubes
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system logos
• May require precepting students and new hires
• 3 call-ins can result in termination
