Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
• 13-week contract length
• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirement within skillset to other campuses with 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float
• Mid-shift float possible within same campus
• Required certifications: Active compact nursing license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years strong Med/Surg experience required
• 1 travel assignment and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Care for combination of medical and surgical patients including confusion/behavioral health/CIWA, CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitus ulcers, and general surgeries
• Perform IV fluid/antibiotic therapies, medical/post-surgical assessments, heparin drips, wound care/wound vacs, and basic telemetry
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting students and new hires
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing required
• Patient ratio on 32-bed unit expanding to 37 beds in January 2025
