IR Tech – IR Tech
Job Details:
• This is an Interventional Cardiology Technologist position in a fast-paced, high acuity Cath Lab environment
• Handle 24-40 cases per day including diagnostic, interventional, RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, Cardiomems, biopsies, atherectomies, staged PCI, IABP, and Impella procedures
• Work with peripheral diagnostic and interventional cases and fistulograms
• Hybrid experience preferred but not required for AAA grafts, thoracic grafts, clips, TAVRs, and Watchman procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio maintained
• Department operates 24/7 with both 8-hour and 12-hour shift options available
• Call schedule runs Friday to Friday (7 days) every 2-3 months with 30-minute response time
• Weekend call typically scheduled rather than regular shifts
• Weekday call shifts run 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM followed by call until 6:00 AM
• 3 years of experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin License
• RCIS certification preferred
• Skills required include scrubbing and panning for Cath Lab and peripheral cases
• Work with equipment including GE C-arms, Volcano, St. Jude, Alphavac, Angiovac, EKOS, Anari, GE Pruka hemodynamic system, and Maquet IABP
• Use EPIC charting system, Alaris, and Pyxis
• 1 week orientation provided
• Adheres to fatigue policy limiting work to 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
• Scrubs provided, free parking available
• 7-day advance notice required for time off requests
• Holiday coverage possible if staffing needed

This facility is a comprehensive medical center featuring a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU with Magnet designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center status. The facility operates 933 beds and maintains a state-of-the-art interventional cardiology department with 15 total labs shared between Cath Lab, EP, and Hybrid services, with 11 dedicated strictly to Cath Lab procedures. The facility provides 24/7 specialty support including cardiology, hospitalist services, respiratory therapy, and critical response teams, ensuring comprehensive patient care around the clock.
