Opportunity:
RAD Tech – Interventional Rad Tech
Job Details:
• Work four 10-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Day off varies week to week with 6-week scheduling cycles
• Weekend rotation includes 1 weekend on-call per month
• On-call responsibilities include 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend (Friday 5:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM) per month
• Holiday expectations include working 1 major holiday during contract
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Scrub into procedures with procedural physicians and support intra-procedure workflows
• Operate imaging equipment including Philips Azurion Imaging Equipment
• Work with cardiac catheterization for coronary disease and STEMI cases
• Support peripheral catheterization including AAA repairs
• Assist with electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implants
• Maintain sterile technique and familiarity with Cath/EP/IR supplies and equipment
• Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed
• Work with technology including Carto EP Ablations, PFA Ablations, EKOS, IABP, and other specialized equipment
• Required certifications: ACLS and Illinois Radiology Technologist license
• Complete 2-day departmental orientation plus NEO
• Hospital-provided blue scrubs

Facility:
This 289-bed healthcare facility operates as a Level II trauma center and maintains designations as both a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. The interventional radiology department serves an average of 12-15 patients daily and utilizes advanced technology including EPIC EMR system and state-of-the-art imaging equipment. The department is building a new team with strong leadership support including a manager, assistant manager, 5 other radiology technologists, and 8 RNs, creating a collaborative environment focused on providing comprehensive cardiovascular and interventional services.
