Opportunity:
RN – PCU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• 6-week contract length with immediate start date
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Can be low censused and placed on call with 2-hour minimum call back
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in fast-paced, high patient turnover environment
• Care for post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients
• Handle post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablations, acute chest pain/MI cases
• Manage medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure
• Must pass EKG test within first week of hire
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS
• Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Contractors must be outside a 50-mile radius of facility
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must wear mask at all times if flu and COVID vaccination declined during flu season

The facility offers comprehensive cardiac services including post-operative care for cardiac surgeries, interventional procedures, and management of complex cardiac conditions. The unit maintains high standards for cardiac care with advanced monitoring capabilities and experienced clinical staff supporting a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
