Opportunity:
RN – IMC
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week for 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and holiday schedule required
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
• Can be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum call back
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• 2+ years experience required with stepdown/intermediate/PCU experience mandatory
• ICU experience and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• Ventilator/Trach experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Care for patients with heavy telemetry, stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleeds, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injuries, and stroke patients
• Handle primary patients and insulin drips in fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work independently, manage change well, and complete tasks timely
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

This healthcare facility operates a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit specializing in complex patient care including heavy telemetry monitoring, ventilator weaning, and trauma cases. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and requires experienced nurses who can handle diverse medical conditions in a fast-paced environment. The organization provides comprehensive care for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment between standard medical-surgical care and intensive care.
