Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week over 13-week contract
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend
• Holiday requirement: every other holiday as applicable
• Must be willing to float to Aspirus Merrill, Wausau, Medford, and Stanley locations
• On-call responsibilities during low census hours with call back pay available (minimum 2 hours)
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours
• Patient ratio typically 4-5 on days, 5-6 on evenings, 6-7 on nights
• Work on 16-bed unit with staffing of 3 RNs on days/evenings, 2 RNs on nights
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN license, BLS, ACLS (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience required
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Highly prefer candidates able to read and interpret telemetry
• Travel experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Excellent assessment skills required
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Mask required at all times during flu season if declining flu and covid vaccination

This healthcare facility operates a 16-bed medical-surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care services. The facility maintains consistent staffing ratios and offers modern healthcare technology including Epic charting systems. The organization emphasizes quality patient care and maintains policies to ensure staff and patient safety, including seasonal health requirements and floating capabilities to support multiple locations within the healthcare system.
