Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour variable shifts, Day/Night: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract length
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Can be low censused and placed on call with 2-hour minimum call back
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience required
• Recent hospital experience and Trauma level II experience required
• Prior travel experience REQUIRED
• Epic EMR charting experience REQUIRED
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps
• Work in 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio: Day/PM 1:4 or 5, Nights 1:5-7
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during weekdays
• Average length of stay 2-3 days, ability to multitask and prioritize based on patient acuity required
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Flu season mask policy applies for unvaccinated staff

The facility features a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit that delivers specialized care for adult and geriatric patients throughout the surgical continuum. As a Level II trauma center, the facility maintains high standards for emergency and surgical care, utilizing advanced technology including Epic EMR systems and modern medical equipment to support patient care delivery.
