Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour variable shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• 8-week contract with 48 guaranteed hours per week (overtime after 48 hours worked)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• 12 hours of on-call in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time requirement
• 2-hour minimum for call back situations
• May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Must have 5 years minimum experience with at least one year of travel experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Work in fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and using Pyxis medication dispenser
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change well, work independently, and complete tasks timely
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate Degree or Certificate required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per facility policy
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department featuring an 18-bed Trauma Level II unit that is stroke certified and provides cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory services. The facility maintains in-house lab and respiratory therapy services, with X-ray staff available on-site in the emergency department. The organization utilizes EPIC computer charting and Pyxis medication dispensers to support efficient patient care delivery in a fast-paced emergency environment.
