Opportunity:
RN – Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Nurse to patient ratio: day/pm 1:4 or 5, nights 1:5-7
• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility location
• 2+ years Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Wisconsin RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC) certification required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Work with Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Provide post-surgical care for adults and geriatric patients in 40-bed unit
• Handle 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during weekdays
• Average length of stay 2-3 days (except joint surgeries)
• Must be able to multitask, prioritize care based on acuity, and work as a team
• Can be low censused and placed on call with 2-hour minimum call back pay
• Any color scrubs permitted
• During flu season, unvaccinated staff must wear masks at all times
