Opportunity:
RN – PCU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• May be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum callback
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must pass EKG test within first week of hire
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) required
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, and ablation patients
• Handle acute chest pain/MI cases and med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4 in fast-paced, high patient turnover environment
• Any scrub colors acceptable
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

This healthcare organization operates a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit that provides specialized cardiac care in a fast-paced environment. The facility focuses on comprehensive cardiac services including post-operative care for cardiac surgeries, interventional procedures, and acute cardiac conditions. The unit maintains high standards for cardiac care and utilizes EPIC charting systems to ensure quality patient documentation and care coordination.
