Opportunity:
Surgical Tech – CVOR
Job Details:
• 8-hour variable shifts
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• On-call requirements include 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 back-up per week with a 30-minute response time (must be ready and in the OR within 30 minutes)
• May occasionally require additional mandated call
• Every 3rd weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• May be required to float to all Central Aspirus locations if needed
• Minimum 2+ years of CVOR experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Cardiac/thoracic experience required; thoracic robot experience preferred
• Efficient in setting up an operative suite for patients and going through case carts to ensure all supplies are available
• Proficient in scrubbing surgical cases in a variety of specialties
• Able to turn over rooms for multiple procedures throughout the day
• Works with 3 cardiothoracic surgeons covering approximately 50-60 cases per month
• Must be willing to complete downtime tasks such as pulling case carts and cleaning
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change well, and socially engaged
• Facility uses Epic charting
• Scrub colors: any color
• Required certifications: BLS, CST license (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted; AHA or ARC certifications required)
• Required education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or Certificate preferred
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of facility
