Opportunity:
RN – Oncology Nurse
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float as needed to other areas and care for patients within scope, in 4-hour blocks, floating before staff RNs
• Patient population primarily consists of surgical oncology and medical oncology patients with a very small population receiving chemo treatments
• Patient ratios on night shift are normally 5:1 but can reach up to 7:1 (not common); techs are always on night shift
• CNAs are scheduled all shifts but may be replaced with additional RNs when unavailable
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required; 1 year on a MSO Unit preferred; oncology experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and Chemo certification
• Epic EMR experience preferred; previous electronic charting experience required if no Epic experience
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Scrub color: any color
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of facility location

This hospital is home to a dedicated Oncology Care Unit serving a patient population primarily consisting of surgical and medical oncology patients. The unit operates with structured patient ratios and consistent staffing support, including CNAs and techs on night shifts. The facility utilizes modern electronic medical record systems and equipment to support high-quality patient care delivery across all shifts.
