Opportunity:
RN – IMC
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed
• Contract end day is Sunday, not Saturday
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float requirements include all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
• Low census hours up to 36 hours unbillable per contract – can be low censused in hourly increments, typically in 4-hour increments
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry focus
• Patient population includes stable and weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, stroke, and primary patients on insulin drips
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required – firm requirement
• Stepdown, Intermediate, or PCU experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ventilator/trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment

This facility is a hospital featuring a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with a strong focus on telemetry and complex patient care. The unit manages a diverse and high-acuity patient population, including trauma, neurological, and post-surgical cases, with support from a comprehensive inpatient care environment. The organization maintains high clinical standards and expects staff to be adaptable, independent, and efficient in a fast-paced setting.
