Opportunity:
RN – Stepdown
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Low census eligible in hour increments as needed; unit typically low censuses in 4-hour increments
• 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit; fast-paced with high patient turnover
• Patient ratio typically 1:4
• Manage post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
• Must have 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) and 2 years of IMC/PCU/Tele experience
• Candidates without experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips cannot move forward in the interview process
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must be able to pass EKG test during the first week of hire
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color

The organization maintains high clinical standards and utilizes EPIC for charting, supporting a dynamic and comprehensive care environment.
