Opportunity:
RN – MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Work in a fast-paced 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings, 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Unit averages 10-15 admissions per day with occupancy running at 90-95% during the week
• Average patient length of stay is 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as part of a team
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required education: Associate Degree or Certificate
• Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

The Post Surgical Care Unit is a high-acuity, 40-bed inpatient area that provides comprehensive pre and post-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility maintains a high occupancy rate and a dynamic patient care environment supported by modern technology and equipment.
