Opportunity:
RN – MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units required
• Unit may low census in 4-hour increments; traveler may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients on a 40-bed inpatient unit
• Nurse to patient ratio: day/PM 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care needs based on acuity, and work as a team
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

The facility includes a high-volume post-surgical care unit that operates at near-full occupancy and supports a wide range of surgical specialties. With Trauma Level II designation, the facility is equipped to handle complex and critical patient needs, supported by a collaborative nursing team and modern medical technology.
