Opportunity:
RN – ER
Job Details:
• 12-hour variable PM/night shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Call back minimum of 2 hours
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Work in a fast-paced Trauma Level II emergency department with 18 beds
• Care for a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases
• Maintain 3-4 patients per nurse ratio
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispensers
• Radiology staff and lab services available on-site in the ED
• Chart using EPIC electronic health records system – required
• Must work independently, manage tasks timely, and adapt well to change
• Scrub colors: any color
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 3-6 months of prior travel experience – FIRM
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)

This facility is a Trauma Level II designated hospital featuring an 18-bed emergency department equipped to handle a wide range of critical and complex medical cases. The unit is stroke certified and provides comprehensive care across multiple specialties including cardiac, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory services. The facility maintains modern resources including on-site radiology staff, in-house laboratory services, and respiratory therapy support to ensure high-quality patient care.
